Hand pleated silk top and skirt set by Patricia Lester. Lustrous silk is accordion pleated and dyed by hand, transforming the fabric into a fluid column silhouette. Top has a beaded bound boatneck opening with an asymmetrical pointed hemline and long sleeves. Elastic waist straight midi skirt can also be worn as a tube dress. Sleeves and bottom of tunic and skirt are finished with a lettuce hem. Slight variations in color throughout, appearing as striped washes due to dying technique. We would wear lightly cinched with a chain belt or even sculpted metal belt to define the waist, and channel our inner Grecian goddess. Magenta.
-Condition: Very Good
*Pinholes in rows along neckline, it looks as though rows of stitching were removed- we believe it to be part of the secretive pleating process by Patricia and Charles Lester (pictured); holes not immediately noticeable due to pleats. Small hole and fabric wear near neckband that isn't a part of the stitching (pictured); also not immediately noticeable due to pleats.
